Is it December Already?
It is hard to believe that December is here and that Christmas is right around the corner! I don't know about you, but the Christmas season can be crazy! Not only are all the teachers ready to get out for Christmas break, but the students are too! So, to help you out, I have complied a list of winter and Christmas freebies to keep your kids busy and on task!
We all know our students get a little antsy around the holiday season. Here are some great freebies to use for morning work, early finishers, when you have a substitute, during stations, or for something fun to do when you are wrapping up your day!
Reindeer Camp Printables
I don't know about you, but no prep worksheets are the way to go! Grab these great Reindeer Camp themed sheets for your first or second grade students. They include an alphabetical order printable, a reindeer writing sheet, and a math page. These would be perfect for a literacy station or math center!
3D Tree Craft and Writing Page
If you are looking for a fun craft or activity for your kids to do, you have found it! This great 3D tree is perfect to decorate with crayons, markers, or paint. It would be good to give to a parent as a gift or to use as a decoration in your classroom! In addition, the writing page is perfect to include alongside some hands on block building time. Students will write about how they will use blocks to build a house for a reindeer, which is a great activity for sequencing or a how to writing in your classroom!
Winter Worksheets
If you are looking for some engaging resources to use to practice math facts, then you are taken care of! Here are some must have winter sheets for your students that include addition facts to 18, addition solve and color snow globes, and a hundred's chart activity where the students will fill in one more, one less, ten more, and ten less. These are perfect for a numeracy math station!
‘Twas the Night Before Christmas Freebie
This is a super fun and interactive activity for your upper elementary students to do during the holiday season! This resource includes the poem “A Visit from St. Nicolas” by Clement C. Moore and is divided up into 28 cards as an “I Have, Who Has” game. Students will have to listen carefully as they only get 3 or 4 words in the poem ahead of the lines. This is a hit for many teachers, and your kids will be begging you to play again and again!
